About Us

Independence First Occupational Therapy provides high quality Occupational Therapy services to adolescents and adults. We are a mobile service meaning we come to you. 

 

We provide a range of services including NDIS functional capacity assessments, supported independent living assessments, complex home modifications, minor home modifications, assistive technology assessment and prescription, therapeutic interventions including skill development and rehabilitation services, falls risk assessments and prevention.

Designed to assess a participant’s functional performance and capacity in everyday activities

Accessible Bathroom

Complex Home Modifications (CHM)

CHMs typically involve structural changes (e.g., removal of bathtub to install an accessible shower)

Minor Home Modifications

We can assess and provide recommendations for minor home modifications such as the installation of grab rails to improve a participants independence

Assistive Technology (AT) Assessment and Prescription

We can conduct assessments and prescribe AT to determine suitable solutions to help participant's achieve their goals, improve their independence and safety.
